    Tua Irma
The First Vineyard

1963

After nearly a decade spent in Australia, Nino, along with his wife Irma, feels the call of their beloved homeland. The passion for wine and the pride they feel for their roots bring them back home. Here, on that hectare located on the captivating “Rive” of the church in Selva del Montello in the Colli Asolani, they decide to revive the first vineyard, planted by Nino’s father, Antonio, thus beginning the Rive della Chiesa winery.

That ancient passion for Prosecco, coupled with the desire to build something significant together with their always united family, transforms into a homemade production, sold in bulk to friends and acquaintances: a home winery. From this place rich in history and meaning, our wine production is born.
    Expansions and Explorations

    1992

The fascination for the world of winemaking leads Michele, their son, to study Winemaking in Conegliano. After a period working in other cellars, he decides, along with his brother Luigi and father Nino, to take the homemade production to the next level by starting to bottle the wine. Their aim is to bring it not only to many other Italian households but also to those in other countries. Michele and Luigi join forces with their father to bring the authenticity of Veneto’s Prosecco and Montello to the world.
      Passion Beyond Borders

      1994

In the years when the idea of exploring the foreign market was still a novelty, Michele and Luigi decide to take their Prosecco beyond borders. Driven by passion and the desire to introduce the unique taste of Rive della Chiesa even outside Italy, they open new horizons for our winery. The first tastings outside Italy in Munich and Vienna, the only two countries importing Asolo Prosecco, inspire Michele to go beyond the ocean. Crossing the Atlantic, he reaches America and China.

With dedication and commitment, the two brothers begin to share the flavor of our vineyards with diverse cultures and people, united by their passion for wine. Introducing Prosecco Rive della Chiesa to American tables becomes an opportunity to share the story of a UNESCO heritage territory and our family, and to open up to completely new markets.
        A New Chapter

        2021

Raised among the vineyards and with eyes set on the future, Michele and Luigi are joined by their own children, committed to leading the winery towards new, unexplored horizons. The fresh and innovative perspective intertwines with the precious knowledge acquired from the previous generation. All memories take shape here, in the vineyard, where the grapes become that ever-present bottle of wine on the table, and where the entire family shares moments of joy together.

Rive della Chiesa is the harmonious encounter between tradition and innovation, where the new heirs prepare for a future of rich history, new ideas, and technologies. Guided by love for the land and the grandfather’s invitation to “always be sharp,” they promise to write the next chapter of Rive della Chiesa, keeping the promise of quality and authenticity alive.

        The story OF A FAMILY
        THE EVOLUTION OF A winery.

Returning from Australia, Nino decides to bring his promise of love to his family and the territory to life by resuming cultivation of the vineyard planted by his father, located on the Rive della Chiesa.
